Te Huka Power Station Steam Silencer (TH20)
 
Thirteen Tonne Steam Silencer 3.2m in diameter x 9m high with the Inlet pipe etc, fabricated, painted and transported over size in nine weeks to Contact Energy’s recent binary power station – Te Huka.
 
Inspection and testing to AS/NZS 1554:1 GP with a little ultrasonic testing on the shell for good measure. Fabrication and paint finish showed very good form.
 
A credit to the guys in the shop for pulling out all stops while maintaining great quality.
